Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM), an initiative of the Government of Kerala, proposes to facilitate the establishment of a dedicated Venture Capital Fund focused on the Creative Economy sector in Kerala, tentatively titled the Creative Economy Venture Capital Fund.
Kerala has a vibrant creative and cultural ecosystem encompassing arts, culture, crafts, literature, publishing, media, AVGC (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics), design-led enterprises, and emerging IP-driven digital platforms. Several enterprises in this domain have demonstrated revenue traction and scalable business models; however, access to organised growth-stage venture capital remains limited.
In this context, KSUM proposes to anchor a professionally managed Venture Capital Fund through its Fund of Funds framework, with participation from institutional, private, and NRI investors.
