The BCDD Funding Support Scheme, introduced by the Government of Kerala, provides early-stage financial assistance to graduates from Backward Classes to help them launch and scale technology-driven startups. Implemented by Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) in collaboration with the Backward Classes Development Department (BCDD), the scheme aims to foster inclusive entrepreneurship and strengthen representation within Kerala’s startup ecosystem. It offers structured financial support of up to ₹10 lakhs per startup, comprising an Idea Grant of up to ₹3 lakhs for concept validation and a Productization Grant of up to ₹7 lakhs to support prototype development, market entry, and early growth initiatives.
