Scheme
Overview
The Fund of Funds is designed to strengthen Kerala’s startup investment ecosystem by enabling the flow of capital into professionally managed venture capital funds. Under the scheme, KSUM participates as a Limited Partner in SEBI-registered Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs), which in turn invest in startups based in or operating from Kerala.
Launched in 2018, the Fund of Funds has grown into a cornerstone of the state’s investment framework and has partnered with 16 venture capital funds to date. The initiative has successfully catalyzed significant private and institutional capital, resulting in a substantial increase in investments flowing into Kerala-based startups. By deepening institutional participation and crowding in private capital, the FoF program supports the long-term, sustainable growth of Kerala’s startup ecosystem and strengthens its position as a leading startup destination in India.
