The Productisation Grant under the Innovation Grant Scheme of Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) is designed to support startups that are in the product development stage and are ready to convert their Minimum Viable Prototype (MVP) into a market-ready final product.
The Productisation Grant under the Innovation Grant Scheme of Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) is designed to support startups that are in the product development stage and are ready to convert their Minimum Viable Prototype (MVP) into a market-ready final product. The scheme provides financial assistance of up to ₹7 lakhs and upto 12 lakhs for Women Productisation Grant (if women holding the major share) to help startups strengthen product development, undertake essential testing and validation, and prepare for early market entry. Startups that have previously availed the Idea Grant are eligible to apply for the remaining eligible amount of 4 Lakhs. The grant is intended exclusively for startups owning innovative technology-based products and is disbursed in milestone-based tranches as per KSUM guidelines.

Startups in the Product Development stage with an innovative technology product, incorporated as Pvt Ltd/LLP/OPC with active MCA status, and holding a valid KSUM Unique ID are eligible
Eligible startups can receive financial assistance of up to ₹7 lakhs. If the startup has already availed the Idea Grant, only the remaining eligible amount can be claimed
The grant is released in milestone-based tranches, generally with 50% disbursed initially and the balance after submission of progress report and audited utilisation certificate
Yes. Startups must bring 20% of the approved grant amount as margin money, applicable during the second tranche
Founder salaries, purchase of fixed assets (land, building, high-end equipment, costly software above ₹2 lakhs), rent, and major infrastructure setup are not permitted under the scheme
