Kerala Startup Mission is seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer or COO to lead the organization's continuing operations and functions. The COO will manage to strategize and operationalize strategic plans to achieve organizational goals. The COO will directly report to the Chief Executive Officer, KSUM.

The key role is to secure the functionalities of KSUM to drive extensive and sustainable growth.

Nature of Post: The vacancy is on a contract basis for a period of one year.

Age limit: Below 50 years as on Jan 01, 2022.

Responsibilities

• To identify, develop and implement long and short-term strategic direction and plans for KSUM’s operations.
• To plan and implement the strategies and procedures with clear objectives of KSUM’s performance and growth.
• To enable start-ups/ entrepreneurs to innovate, promote an innovative culture, assist them in converting ideas into products/IPs and commercialization, and generate significant value for start-ups, investors, incubators & all other stakeholders.
• To develop, foster, and strengthen collaborative relationships with the government, academia, other incubators, mentors, venture capitalists, angel/seed funding institutions, and other consultants in India and abroad in order to invest in the right start-ups; to develop a strong cadre of mentors, service providers, and other start-up ecosystem players; and to develop and strengthen the requisite ecosystem of entrepreneurship and innovation as required by the CoE.
• To establish policies that promote company culture and vision
• To assess the effectiveness and efficiency of operational processes for both KSUM and Startups.

Eligibility Criteria-

(a) Educational and other qualifications- Graduation in any stream

(b) Work Experience- Proven track record of more than 8 years of overall experience in the field of Technology/ Innovation/ start-up promoting organizations; in which

• Experience as an enabler of Start-up/Innovation & entrepreneurship ecosystem.
• Minimum five years of experience in working within a leadership role.

Skills Required

• The applicant should be detail-oriented and have business acumen.
• The applicant must be able to clearly demonstrate their entrepreneurial capabilities and experience as an enabler for startups/Innovation ecosystem.
• The applicant must be well-versed in all the disciplines and domains that make up the start-up ecosystem.
• The applicant had prior experience working at a senior level position in collaboration with government departments, agencies, partner organizations, the private sector, and venture capitalists is preferred.
• Should possess strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills and should be able to effectively manage internal and external stakeholders.
• Applicants must have a clear understanding of local, national, and global start-up ecosystems and should be familiar with emerging technologies.

Salary & Other Perks:- Consolidated salary is Rs. 2,00,000/- per month. Eligible for other benefits like Medical reimbursement, health insurance (for Rs. 2 lakhs), mobile bill reimbursement & conveyance support.
