Location: Trivandrum

Duration: 6 months

Responsibilities:

Identify translational research and entrepreneurship opportunities in the various domains of microbiome by coordinating the joint activities of the Kerala Startup Mission and Centre of Excellence in Microbiome (CoEM) of the Govt. of Kerala.
Work closely with R&D institutions, universities, colleges, and other stakeholders across the State to conduct preliminary studies on available microbiome research resources and identify the needs of the State that can be resolved by microbiome-based interventions in the respective domains.
Collaborate closely with faculty members of the (CoEM) to generate new research projects, product development possibilities, entrepreneurial opportunities and documentation leading to innovation in the following subsectors of microbiome field: a) Human Microbiome b) Animal Microbiome c) Plant Microbiome d) Aquatic and Environmental Microbiome e) Data Analytics in Microbiome
Identify aspiring entrepreneurs in the microbiome sector and build partnerships and networks to support the emergence of startups and microbiome industries in the State.

Qualification :

First class Master’s degree in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Genomics/Microbial Gene Technology/Bioinformatics.

Experience and Skills

Age limit : Below 26 years as on 01.01.2024.

Internship Amount : Rs. 15,000 per month.
