Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the design, estimation implementation and maintenance of our organization’s IT & network infrastructure. You will work closely with the Infrastructure team to troubleshoot network issues, deploy new technologies, ensure the reliability & security of our network, upkeep & operation of various IT system including but not limited to servers, CCTV, BMS, and biometric systems.

Location: Any location across Kerala

Duration: One year Contract

Responsibilities:

Asset management of IT & network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and other devices.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues, including ISP monitoring to ensure high availability and reliability.
Assist in the configuration and deployment of network security measures, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs.
Manage server infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers, storage systems, and backup solutions.
Oversee the operation of CCTV systems, ensuring cameras are functioning properly and footage is securely stored.
Administer Building Management Systems (BMS) to control and monitor building facilities such as HVAC, lighting, and access control.
Maintain biometric systems for access control and attendance tracking, ensuring accurate and reliable operation.
Implement security measures to protect systems and data from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
Estimate project costs in accordance with CPWD norms for network/IT infrastructure projects and assist in tendering processes, including preparation of tender documents
Liaise with contractors and AMC teams for project execution and ongoing maintenance.
Responsible for all engineering duties in managing the construction activities at the site, including verification of measurements, preparation of bills, preparation of approval documents, and maintaining a proper filing system.

Experience and Skills

3+ years of experience in IT systems administration or a related role.
Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
Experience with server administration, virtualization, and storage technologies.
Familiarity with CCTV systems, BMS, and biometric systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Industry certifications such as CCNA, MCSA, or equivalent is preferred

Age Criteria: Below 35 years as of 01/01/2024.

Salary & Other Benefits: The selected candidate will receive a consolidated salary of Rs. 25,000/- per month. In addition to the salary, there will be allowances and reimbursement as per KSUM policies.
