Job Description

We’re looking for a technically strong, product-minded individual to lead in the design and development of an open source book scanner.

Responsibilities

Own and drive the entire design and development of Book Scanner, including the mechanical and electronic design and system integration.
Evaluating client needs and recommending the best viable technical solution.
Producing schematics, blueprints and technical drawings of the product in a publishable format.
Drive industrial design and user experience through testing and quality assurance.
Work closely with manufacturing partners, suppliers, or vendors as needed.
Ensure the project is completed in a timely manner within the budgets.

Experience and Skills

Qualification - Degree in Engineering in relevant discipline.
5+ years of experience in the field of product design, development and digital fabrication.
Strong hands-on experience in hardware design and product development.
Knowledge in CAD and CAM and basic electronics.

Remuneration

The selected R&D Lead - Consultant will receive a Fixed Monthly Payment: Rs.70,000.

Project Completion Incentive:Rs.1,20,000 (to be disbursed upon successful completion of the six-month project)
