Samagra Shiksha Kerala has partnered with Kerala Startup Mission to set up and run Centres for Early Innovation across Kerala. This project is part of the World Bank-aided, centrally sponsored STARS scheme, which aims to promote STEM education in schools and foster a culture of tinkering and making.
The project focuses on reaching a wide audience by engaging every student and cultivating curiosity and aptitude for technology from an early age. By using a variety of digital fabrication tools, the initiative encourages problem-solving, innovation, and creative thinking, enabling students to interact with technology use these skills for practical and meaningful innovations.
The program helps teachers deliver key STEM concepts through hands-on learning. To support this, KSUM has developed training programs and workshops that equip them with the skills to use digital fabrication tools for making STEM education more interactive and engaging in classrooms.
About Fellowship Role
The Fellow is responsible for implementing the program at the district level, ensuring smooth delivery of training sessions and workshops for both students and teachers. In this role, you'll help in design engaging STEM activities, support teachers in incorporating hands-on tinkering and digital fabrication tools into their classrooms, and collaborate with key stakeholders to sustain the program's impact.
Responsibilities
- Conduct hands-on training sessions and workshops for students and teachers, ensuring effective engagement with STEM concepts and digital fabrication tools.
- Support the development of structured training modules, lesson plans, and activity guides that align with the school curriculum and promote experiential learning.
- Coordinate and execute program activities in schools across the district, ensuring smooth delivery and active participation from students and teachers.
- Assist educators in integrating STEM activities into classroom teaching through mentorship, demonstrations, and continuous support.
- Track program effectiveness by collecting feedback, assessing student engagement, and recommending improvements to enhance impact.
- Collaborate with school administrators, SSK, district education office, and other stakeholders to ensure program success and long-term sustainability.
- Maintain training sessions, workshops, and student progress records while providing regular reports.
Qualification
- B.Tech in any discipline.

Fresh graduates with relevant skills are welcome.

Experience with digital fabrication tools (3D printing, electronics, programming).

Storytelling, art, and craft knowledge are a plus.

Strong communication skills to engage students, train teachers, and collaborate with stakeholders.
