Job Description

The Manager – Early Stage Funding will be responsible for managing and coordinating KSUM’s early-stage funding initiatives aimed at supporting startups across various stages of growth. The role involves overseeing funding programs such as Innovation Grants, Seed Loans, and Research Grants, identifying and onboarding suitable national and central government funding schemes, and working closely with key State funding agencies including KSIDC, KFC, and DIC to strengthen and streamline the startup funding ecosystem in Kerala. The Manager will track fund utilisation, ensure compliance with applicable guidelines, assess the impact of funding support, and act as the primary point of contact for startups by providing end-to-end guidance throughout the funding application, approval, and disbursement process.

Responsibilities

Manage various funding programs such as Innovation Grants, Seed Loans, and Research Grants to support startups across growth stages.
Identify and apply for national schemes that provide early-stage funding, expanding financial support options for startups in Kerala.
Collaborate with key funding agencies in the State, including KSIDC, KFC, and DIC, to create a streamlined and unified funding ecosystem for startups.
Track fund utilisation, ensure compliance with funding guidelines, and assess the impact of funding initiatives.
Act as the primary point of contact for startups seeking financial assistance, providing guidance and support throughout the application and disbursement process.

Experience and Skills

Graduation + MBA from a recognised university.
Minimum 6 years of total experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Proven experience in the startup ecosystem, including incubators, accelerators, or startup advisory roles.
Strong understanding of startup funding mechanisms and public-private financial partnerships.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and reporting skills.

Commitment: Full Time

Duration: One Year Contract

Salary : The selected candidate will receive a consolidated monthly pay of Rs. 1,00,000 and other benefits as per KSUM policies.
