Job Description

The Manager – Government Accelerator will be responsible for leading the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of the Government as a Marketplace (GaaM) program, enabling startups to address real-world challenges within government departments. The role involves establishing and managing Innovation Zones across departments to support piloting and adoption of startup solutions, acting as a strategic liaison between senior government stakeholders and startups to ensure effective problem–solution matching, and aligning program outcomes with KSUM’s broader innovation strategy. The Manager will define performance metrics, manage program budgets, ensure scalability and sustainability of the initiative, and represent KSUM in meetings, policy discussions, and ecosystem forums to promote innovation-led public sector transformation.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning and execution of the GaaM program, enabling startups to solve real-world problems within government departments.
Establish and manage Innovation Zones in various government departments to create a collaborative environment for piloting and adopting startup solutions.
Act as a strategic liaison between senior government stakeholders and startups, ensuring curated problem statements are effectively matched with innovative solutions.
Define key performance metrics, prepare and manage program budgets, and ensure alignment with KSUM’s broader innovation strategy.
Ensure the sustainability and scalability of the GaaM initiative through continuous improvement and stakeholder engagement.
Represent KSUM in relevant meetings, policy discussions, and ecosystem-building forums to advocate for innovation-led public sector transformation.

Experience and Skills

Graduation + MBA from a recognised university.
Minimum 6 years of total professional experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Proven experience in the startup ecosystem, particularly with incubators, accelerators, or startup advisory functions.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and program execution skills.
Familiarity with government operations, procurement systems, or public policy is an added advantage.

Age : Below 50 years as on 01.01.2026

Commitment : Full Time

Duration : One Year Contract

Salary : The selected candidate will receive a consolidated monthly pay of Rs. 1,00,000 and other benefits as per KSUM policies.
